Recovery During a Crisis Project Findings
Project Findings
From the thirteen semi-structured interviews, findings are presented on the basic characteristics and demographics of the people interviewed along with their response to the overall effects of COVID-19 on the recovery process. Prominent themes emerged during the interviews, including stigmatization of people with SUD, limited access to care and resources and the criminal justice system and drug courts. From the interviews the change in resources before and during the COVID-19 pandemic were identified as well as perceptions of the resources available in the New River Valley for people in recovery. See the links below for detailed information on each topic.
